The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is a standardized exam assessing non-native speakers' Japanese language ability. It is divided into five levels (N1 to N5), with N1 being the highest.   

JLPT Levels

The JLPT consists of five levels:

N5: Beginner level   

N4: Elementary level

N3: Intermediate level   

N2: Advanced intermediate level

N1: Advanced level   

JLPT Test Format

The JLPT evaluates four language skills:

Kanji, Vocabulary, and Grammar: Measures your knowledge of Japanese characters and language structure.

JLPT Score Validity

JLPT scores do not expire. However, some institutions or companies may have their own requirements regarding the recency of test results.
